Random Sample

Random Sample command randomly extracts values from input variables (simple random sample, SRS), with or without replacement.

How To

Run: Data→ [Data Sampling] Random Sample...

Select variables. The first random sample is drawn from the first variable, then the second random sample is drawn from the second variable, and so on.

Select the Sampling with Replacement option to allow an observation be chosen more than once and leave the Replacement option unselected to sample without replacement (no observation can be chosen more than once). In sampling without replacement two samples are not independent, but still satisfy exchangeability.

Results

The table with random samples is produced.
